Job Highlights

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

keeps track of containers and update IT system with all movement data. Based on this various stock reports are generated and distributed to relevant parties, including remainders to customers for outstanding containers. In addition to this the operation controller manages allocation of empty containers and arrange inbound and IPT movements. The main interface is the terminal.

  • Working relationships: Sales and Customer Service teams, Intermodal team

  • Logistics providers and vendors, leasing companies, other shipping lines
  • Terminals and depots, hauliers, rail and barge companies

Job Description

- Receive container movements data from the terminals and depots and upload to the EMS after reconciling the data reports

- Follow – Up all overdue containers in a timely and consistent manner.

- Ensure containers are not lost, misplaced or misused. Track and ensure proper return of misused equipments.

- Manage local container maintenance and repairs in liaison with principals.

- Contribute to preparation of the container stock and destitution plan.

- Arrange monthly activity report

- Check with CRO desk and ensure enough sound container stock is available for export .

- Receive and estimate cleaning & Repairs charges for damaged containers and update system accordingly.

- Extract and analyze reports from system and Terminal/Depot systems to optimize equipment distribution and forecasting

- Provide consignees- when needed- with return data and amount to be recovered for damages and cleaning units.
